Jim Chaplin - Artist and Fashion Designer

I have volunteered at Street Level Arts festival, Canal and River Trust pirate costume festival, college fashion shows, and completed charity work. These events have highly inspired my designs as well as building valuable skills and connections. I have also enjoyed modeling my own garments in fashion shows and runways, showcasing my skills and passions. As well as creating my own unique designs I also enjoy working with others to collaborate; fusing our styles to create designs that are truly innovative.

While voulenteering at Wrexham Clothing Exchange, I gained styling and point of sale experience. Working on a shop floor has helped me to realise what the every-day consumer wants from fashion design. This has also provided a highly valuable insight into sustainability within the industry and inspired me to consider sustainability when designing.
